Around a week after agreeing to a max deal with the Miami Heat, Bam Adebayo surprised his mom with a new house for her birthday.
Via Instagram, Adebayo posted photos of himself and his mom inside the house. Most NBA players have a very special relationship with their mothers. Adebayo joins a good chunk of players who have gifted their mothers for everything they've done.

Last week, Adebayo inked a five-year, $163 million extension with the Heat. This is after the 23-year-old's breakout campaign where he was named an All-Star for the first time in his career. He was also selected into the NBA All-Defensive Second Team.
Speaking on his massive contract, the Kentucky product noted that it's always been a dream of his. Apart from using the money to help out his family, he highlighted his main objective of helping the Heat.
“This is an accomplishment I always wanted to get,” Adebayo said, per the Associated Press via the Japan Times. “Just being able to reach this milestone and being able to generationally change my family’s life and also take care of the people around me, it’s a big deal to me.”
“It’s another challenge I’m willing to take on,” Adebayo said. “I’m all about helping this team win. If my individual accolades help, then I’m for sure in.”
Reports reveal that Bam Abebayo's contract could reach up to $195.6 million if Adebayo is named to a 2021 All-NBA team or is named Defensive Player of the Year or Most Valuable Player.
