Miami Heat center Bam Adebayo said the team had a letdown in a Game 4 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday afternoon.
Adebayo stated Miami lacked the kind of hunger and intensity of a team hoping to close out the series:
“I feel like we played like we was up 3-0,” Adebayo said, via ESPN's Nick Friedell. “At the end of the day we should have played like we was in Game 1, Game 2 and Game 3 … We didn't play as hard as we should have. I feel like we didn't play a maximum effort the whole game.”
The Heat failed to complete a possible sweep of the Bucks on Sunday, though not for lack of effort from Adebayo.
The All-Star center for the Heat had his best game of the series, finishing the contest with 26 points on 10 of 13 shooting from the field while also racking up 12 rebounds and eight assists.
Adebayo's activity level seemed to propel the Heat especially on the offensive end of the floor, but Miami struggled to contain a scorching-hot Khris Middleton.
The Bucks swingman carried the team after Giannis Antetokounmpo left the game in the first half, scoring 21 third-quarter points and adding nine more in the overtime period.

The Heat still had the opportunity to win the game at the end of regulation and nearly clawed its way back in the final seconds of overtime thanks to some big shots from Tyler Herro, but the Bucks managed to stave off elimination.
Adebayo and Co. will hope to come with more energy as the Heat look to close out the series in Game 5 on Tuesday.
