Miami Heat rookie Duncan Robinson had quite a memorable evening on Wednesday, as the 6-foot-7 swingman amazingly knocked down a record nine 3-pointers en route to a 29-point performance for Miami.

This astounding feat allowed Robinson to match an earlier record set by none other than seven-time NBA champion Robert Horry more than two decades ago:

Robinson went 9-of-15 from the field on Wednesday, as the Heat blew out the Cleveland Cavaliers, 124-100. All 15 of his attempts were from rainbow territory, as the 25-year-old did not even take a shot from within the 3-point arc. Robinson also made both of his attempts form the line, resulting in a truly remarkable 29-point outing.

After starting the season with the Heat's second unit, team head coach Erik Spoelstra decided to insert the sharpshooting wing into the starting lineup. This decision has certainly paid dividends, with Robinson currently averaging 16.5 points (on 53.5 percent shooting) and 4.5 3-pointers (on a 50.0 percent clip) over the past four contests.

Miami point guard Justise Winslow has missed the Heat's past six games due to a concussion, which has opened up some playing time for Robinson. Winslow appears to be nearing his return, and this might just push Robinson back to a reserve role.

Nonetheless, Robinson's amazing play of late will definitely give Spo a good problem once Winslow is available again. There's no denying that Robinson currently has the hot hand, and he has likely earned a more significant role on the squad moving forward.
