Mario Chalmers made headlines on Thursday after it was announced that the 35-year-old was set to sign a 10-day hardship deal with the Miami Heat. Chalmers won two titles with the Heat during the Big 3 era and it isn't at all surprising that one of the first people to react to this news is none other than Miami legend Dwyane Wade.

Wade took to Twitter to share how delighted he is with this recent development. The former league MVP is clearly happy to see one of his former teammates returning to his/their beloved Heat:

Chalmers was Miami's starting point guard during their back-to-back title wins in 2012 and 2013. He was no superstar but there's no denying that he was a key piece of the Heat's dynasty alongside Wade, LeBron James, Chris Bosh, and the rest of the squad.

Now that he's back in Miami after six long years, Chalmers could make his debut for the Heat on Sunday when they take on the Sacramento Kings. He's not expected to play a significant role in coach Erik Spoelstra's rotation, but given how hard hit the Heat have been with COVID-related issues, it wouldn't be surprising if Chalmers actually gets some quality minutes in the short term.
