Miami Heat icon Dwyane Wade is keeping a close eye on his former team.  On Twitter, Wade said that Bam Abedayo has “figured it out” after the latter's vicious poster slam on Utah Jazz defensive stalwart Rudy Gobert.

The Heat icon also emphasized that the “league is in trouble,” perhaps pertaining to Bam's growth from a little-known center to a legitimate star who can now go toe-to-toe against the reigning Defensive Player of the Year.

For the season, the 22-year-old Adebayo is averaging 16.0 points, 10.4 rebounds, 4.9 assists, 1.2 blocks and 1.2 steals across 34.6 minutes. His rise has been seen as one of the key parts of the Heat's success thus far.

Abedayo, the 14th overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft, was selected into his first All-Star game this season. Abedayo will be suiting up for Team Giannis.

The Erik Spoelstra-coached team has a 35-18 record so far for fourth in the East. If they keep this up, then they are well on their to their ninth playoff appearance in 12 years.

Much thanks to Bam Abedayo, Jimmy Butler and overall team effort, Heat president Pat Riley was encouraged to make some significant moves at the trade deadline to beef up the roster and prepare them for title contention. In a three-team trade, they acquired three-time champion and former Finals MVP Andre Iguodala. They also added veterans Jae Crowder and Solomon Hill to the fold.

Although fans will have to wait and see the Heat can indeed snag that elusive title, there's still a lot to be excited about the team.
