Dwyane Wade is not a mystery novel writer, but he appeared to have taken a swing at mystifying his Twitter followers with the following post on Twitter today.

This could have been easily interpreted as a motivational blurb from a future Hall of Famer, but given the fact that Wade remains a free agent, attaching any unfounded underlying meanings to it is not that difficult either.

Wade last played an NBA game wearing a Miami Heat uniform, which was just last season. He is now without a team, though, after his contract expired this year. Wade also seems to be contemplating retirement, and now could be a good time for him to do it. After all, he’s won rings and has taken home multiple honors so far in his decorated basketball career.

Perhaps what’s more intriguing (or alarming to some) with regards to Wade’s tweet was the guard’s poor choice of comparison. By implying that minimum-wage earners have a lackadaisical disposition in life, Wade’s tweet is not sitting well with a lot of people on the internet.

Dwyane Wade probably did not intend to have his message come across to people the way it is being negatively understood by some right now, but in any case, what made him post that tweet remains, well, a mystery.

Wade has played in 982 games in his pro career in the NBA and over that span, put up averages of 22.5 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 5.5 assists.
