Dwayne Wade is perhaps known as the most famous member of the Miami Heat. After being drafted by the Heat in 2003, Wade led the franchise to it's first title in 2006, capturing the series' Finals MVP award. He won two more championships with his best friend LeBron James in 2012 and 2013. However, when James left, Wade and Pat Riley's relationship soon soured.

When Wade demanded a large contract in 2016, Riley refused to give it to him, insulting the future Hall-of-Famer, prompting him to join the Bulls. Wade then left the Bulls after one season to join James again on the Cavaliers. On Thursday's trade deadline, Wade was traded to his former team where his career began. According to Manny Navarro of the Miami Herald, even Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra was surprised by the news.

Spo: “I went up to Pat's office right before practice, maybe 45 minutes just for a quick update and he said there's a possibility that something might happen with Luke and something might happen with Dwyane. I was about to walk out the door and stopped and said what? Dwyane who?”

Wade was traded to the Heat for a future second round pick on the last day of the trade deadline. Obviously, this was a favor from the Cavs who wanted Wade to return to his basketball home. Seemingly after feuding with Riley for the past few years, it appears that all is well in Miami again. The Heat are currently ranked 7th place in the Eastern Conference. With Wade's leadership and abilities, the Heat will surely benefit for the rest of the regular season.
