Goran Dragic knocked down his 482nd three-pointer as a member of the Miami Heat on Wednesday night against the Orlando Magic, passing Heat legend Dwyane Wade on the franchise's all-time list:

Of course, Wade was hardly a sniper from the perimeter. Still, it speaks to Dragic's evolution as a more efficient three-point marksman since joining the Heat in 2014.

Dragic entered Wednesday's game averaging 4.0 threes per game in five-plus seasons with the Heat, which is nearly a full attempt more than his career average of 3.3 treys per contest. Moreover, Dragic has converted nearly 37 percent of those triples. For comparison, Wade averaged just 1.8 threes per game over the course of his career, converting on under 30 percent of those tries. But Wade also played 15 seasons in South Beach.

For his part, Dragic was involved in a multitude of trade rumors this summer, but the Heat are almost certainly glad they decided to retain the wily veteran.

The 33-year-old was averaging 16.3 points, 5.1 assists and 3.1 rebounds through his first 50 games while shooting over 38 percent from beyond the arc on 5.8 attempts per game. He is likely going to garner some consideration for the NBA's Sixth Man of the Year Award.

Perhaps more importantly, Dragic established an instant connection with Heat newcomer Jimmy Butler, who even called Dragic one of his favorite teammates.

Dragic's superb play is likely what helped prompt the Heat to pull the trigger on the deal that sent Justise Winslow (and others) to the Memphis Grizzlies in exchange for Andre Iguodala and Jae Crowder. Not only has Dragic played well, but he has also been healthy.

Now Dragic can also rib his former teammate about the time it took him to surpass Wade on the Heat's three-point list.
