Miami Heat players James Johnson and Dion Waiters have scrubbed their Instagram accounts clean of all photos that are related to the Heat.

This change was spotted by an eagle-eyed Twitter user, whose screen name implies he is a Heat fan who isn't exactly a big fan of Hassan Whiteside.

Waiters' account no longer has photos that are even basketball related, as his account is trimmed down to only three posts in total.

Interestingly enough, Johnson's Twitter still contains Heat-related material, and his Twitter pic is still him in a Heat jersey.

There is no indication as to why the two players decided to scrub their accounts.

Sometimes when players do this it means that they are moving on from the team. Because both players are under contract for next season with the Heat, the only way off the team would be a trade.

Waiters and Johnson are both expected to be key players on a gritty Heat team that relies on depth instead of superstars to win games.

Waiters dealt with injuries that limited him to only 30 games last season, but he started all 30 of them and put up a respectable 14.3 points per game.

Johnson was an important piece on the Heat squad last year, notching 10.8 points, 4.9 boards and 3.8 assists a game. He was most valued for his defensive play and his ability to switch onto wings and guards alike.

While their Instagram scrubbing is puzzling, it definitely does not mean that the duo is leaving Miami. Heat fans are certainly hoping this is just a social media cleanse that will not affect their team's roster.
