Jimmy Butler has some big praises for his Miami Heat teammate Tyler Herro a day after the young guard won Sixth Man of the Year.

Herro beat the likes of Kevin Love and Cam Johnson for the honor, and it wasn't even close as he garnered 96 first-place votes out of a total of 100 for the landslide victory.

Now after their Game 2 win against the Philadelphia 76ers, Butler spoke about Herro's win and how crucial the sharpshooting guard will be in their quest to win the NBA championship this year.

“He's a good dude who cares about winning and plays basketball the right way. It's about time that he gets the recognition that he deserves and he's gonna be a big reason why we end up winning it this year,” Butler said, per Nick Friedell of ESPN.

The Heat are now up 2-0 against the Sixers, and while it's still too early to assume anything, they definitely have a great chance to move on to the East Finals and potentially return to the NBA Finals.

As Jimmy Butler said it, Tyler Herro will be critical in those aspirations. He has already been pivotal so far in the 2022 playoffs, and his latest accolade should only give him more confidence moving forward.

But first things first for Miami: they now head to Philadelphia where they will hope to get closer to knocking out the Sixers from the postseason.
