Miami Heat star Jimmy Butler had to backtrack on his previous statement following his harsh criticism of how his team has been performing of late. In spite of Miami's recent struggles, the five-time All-Star made it abundantly clear that his unwavering loyalty to his squad and his teammates remains as steadfast as ever.

Butler recently criticized his team saying that they have been “consistently inconsistent.” The 31-year-old has since followed up this statement with a reassuring message for his boys:

“I’m telling you,” Butler said, via Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, “I’ll ride with these guys ‘til wheels fall off.”

Butler is not one to mince words. He usually says what's on his mind and this non-apologetic attitude is what makes him such a unique player. Be that as it may, one thing you cannot fault Butler for is his loyalty to his teammates. As he expressed in his statement above, he has every intention of riding out any storm with his guys.

Nevertheless, Jimmy had a few more things to say about Miami's recent level of play:

“I think we just get caught up in our own agendas at times,” Butler said. “It’s not bad. It just happens. It’s the human condition.

“But that’s not who we are, not who we’re supposed to be, and it’s damn not sure not what is going to win us games.”

Butler has evolved into a true leader at this point in his career. This is a clear battle cry from the team's talisman and for their own good, we hope that the rest of his Heat teammates follow suit.
