The Miami Heat are currently on the verge of making the postseason for the first time since 2016. The rotation is currently locked in and the Heat are focused toward making a full postseason push. New addition Kelly Olynyk had been taken out of the Heat's rotation with a bothersome shoulder injury.

Apparently, Olynyk is now attempting to make a full comeback but isn't too much concerned by making a $1 million bonus to his $50 million contract he signed, per Ira Winderman.

“I mean, it's obviously nice to get,” he said. “I mean, it's not a concern, but you're doing whatever you can. I'm playing my minutes whenever they're handed to me and whenever you're out there. But it's not something that you're stressing about or striving toward.

“You want to be able to play minutes to help the team succeed, to help the team win, and whatever comes with that, comes with that.”

Olynyk appears to be concerned with helping his team win at the moment, so a $1 million bonus doesn't seem to influence him one way or the other. After all, Olynyk's contract is worth $50 million, so $1 million is chump change even to him, but a bonus would be nice for him.

Olynyk is currently trying to regain his spot in the Heat rotation. Obviously, that is of more importance to him. Olynyk will have to fight for his minutes now that the Heat are fighting for a playoff spot. It's unlikely that the Heat will make any adjustments down the road, but hopefully, Olynyk can get his spot back and a bonus this season.
