The Miami Heat continued to shackle the Atlanta Hawks in the NBA Playoffs, hacking out a 115-105 victory in Game 2 of their first round series on Tuesday for a 2-0 lead.

It was a tight affair until Jimmy Butler took charge in the dying minutes to seal the win for the top-seeded Heat. The veteran forward finished with a postseason career-high 45 points on an efficient 15-of-25 shooting from the field. He also chipped in five rebounds, five assists, and two steals.

Per the report of ESPN, history is now heavily on the side of the Butler and company after taking a 2-0 advantage. If you're a fan of the Heat, put this on a t-shirt. If you're a fan of the Hawks, look away.

Teams that take a 2-0 lead in a best-of-seven matchup have eventually won the series 92.4% of the time. The Hawks have never rallied from 0-2 down in a series (0-25) and the Heat have never wasted a 2-0 lead (17-0).

But if there's any consolation for the Hawks, there were four instances in last season's NBA Playoffs when a team rallied from a 0-2 hole—two by the Milwaukee Bucks and two by the Los Angeles Clippers. Also, Trae Young, who had a scuffle with Butler in Game 1, has proven many times that he can beat the odds.

The Heat, however, have looked very much like a title contender. Butler, Bam Adebayo, and Kyle Lowry are battle-tested stars while Tyler Herro, Duncan Robinson, and Victor Oladipo can go off at any time. Plus, with a great coach like Erik Spoelstra, it sounds improbable for the Heat to squander a 2-0 lead.
