Tyler Herro had quite a season debut for the Miami Heat on Thursday as he led his team to a 137-95 demolition job of the defending champs Milwaukee Bucks. Herro was so good that it prompted quite an audacious statement from Heat legend Shaquille O'Neal.

The TNT crew recapped Herro's explosion against the Bucks and it clearly left quite an impression on Shaq. So much so, that the Hall of Fame big man went as far as saying that Herro is on the same level as Luka Doncic and Trae Young:

Herro was nothing short of outstanding for the Heat against Giannis Antetokounmpo and Co., finishing with a game-high 27 points on 10-of-18 shooting. The third-year guard also connected on four triples while also logging six rebounds and five assists in just 24 minutes off the bench.

There's no doubt that Tyler Herro is a real stud but for Shaq to say that he's at par with Luka Doncic and Trae Young would be a tad contentious, to say the least.

Then again, for those thinking that this was a fluke performance for the Heat youngster, Herro followed up his opening-night heroics with an even more impressive performance against the Indiana Pacers on Saturday. Miami lost in a thrilling overtime contest, but Herro will once again make headlines after putting up a massive 30-point, 10-rebound double-double.

Herro did have a rather disappointing sophomore campaign last year, but it looks like he has every intention of bouncing back this season.
