Teams eyeing to acquire Tyler Herro or Bam Adebayo from the Miami Heat may as well just stop now and look for other players to trade for.

According to Sean Deveney of Heavy, the Heat have told inquiring teams that Herro and Adebayo are untouchable in trade talks.

The Heat have been linked to New Orleans Pelicans point guard Jrue Holiday. The Pelicans would likely want Herro and Adebayo for Holiday, so a trade sending Holiday to South Beach seems unlikely:

The Heat have told inquiring teams that Tyler Herro and Bam Adebayo are untouchable, according to sources.

If that holds true, Miami would either need to find a way to acquire more first-rounders or persuade other teams to take on a package built around Goran Dragic, Justise Winslow, some combination of Kendrick Nunn and/or Duncan Robinson and a 2025 first-rounder.

The Heat are 22-8 on the season and have the third-best record in the Eastern Conference, thanks to Jimmy Butler's stellar play. However, Herro and Adebayo have been really good as well.

Adebayo is averaging 15.7 points, 10.6 rebounds and 4.6 assists while shooting 56.5 percent from the field and 68.5 percent from the free-throw line. He has 18 double-doubles and two triple-doubles so far and could make his first All-Star team.

Herro, meanwhile, doesn't play or act like a rookie. The youngster is putting up 14.0 points and shooting 42.4 percent from the floor, 38.6 percent from beyond the arc and 86.9 percent from the free-throw line. Herro has become one of Butler's favorite teammates on the Heat, which says a lot since Butler is a fierce competitor.

After missing the playoffs last season, all signs point toward Erik Spoelstra and Co. making it this year. The Heat will look to make a possible Finals run since the East is pretty open this season.
