The Miami Heat are set to change the way their fans can enter the America Airlines Arena this coming season to watch their home games. And it won't involve any kind of paper whatsoever.

ESPN's Darren Rovell tweeted that the Heat are set to become the first NBA team that will use mobile tickets as the only means to allow them entry inside the arena. They will not be releasing any physical ticket anymore and will utilize mobile phones to take their place.

This development will definitely bring a lot of positives to both the team, their fans, and even the NBA. Not needing to print tickets will help the environment, and it could also regulate ticket scalping, making it very difficult to re-sell them at a profit. The NBA will also benefit from this as it will promote fans to purchase them on the league's official ticket website.

However, there could also be some issues that could arise from this change, as only 77 percent of Americans own a smartphone, according to a piece made by Diego Quezada of SB Nation. While only a small percentage of their supporters may have concerns about it, the team is still expected to make some exemptions and will make sure everything is set before the start of next season.
