When you dunk on an all-star caliber player like Andre Drummond, not only does it prove that you have hops, but you have the fearless aggression as well. Derrick Jones Jr. of the Miami Heat did just that, and it brought the whole crowd to a frenzy.

As observed, the Miami Pro League game was momentarily put to a halt as several audience members flocked to the court.

Though Jones Jr.'s name might not be familiar to some, he's an incoming fourth-year pro this season. The dunk showcased his athleticism. While his performance in the Summer League proves that he's a promising talent.

In three games in the Summer League, the 6-foot-7 guard/forward averaged 21.3 points, 7.7 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game. His offseason performance could prove to be the turning point he desperately needs.

He entered the league as an undrafted prospect in 2016. He saw limited minutes playing with the Phoenix Suns, spending more time in its G League affiliate, the Northern Arizona Suns. Yet despite this, he was selected to compete in the Slam Dunk Contest — making it all the way to the final round.

Now, he'll be entering his second season with the Miami Heat. After all the tough terrains that he had the endure, he now seems comfortable with the Heat, per Ira Winderman of the Sun Sentinel:

“Heat Culture,” Jones said. “It's just a culture. You come here you want to work hard. I haven't met anybody that stepped in a Heat uniform that I talked to that they didn't work hard when they were here.”
