Dwyane Wade's farewell tour's most recent event was a home game on Tuesday as the Miami Heat hosted the Denver Nuggets. After the game, the soon-to-be-retired Wade exchanged jerseys with Nuggets guard Isaiah Thomas, in a memorable moment involving two former Cleveland Cavaliers teammates:

Wade decided to hand the honor of the jersey exchange ritual to Thomas despite the fact that the latter did not even suit up for the Nuggets on the evening. Thomas is still out nursing a hip injury that has prevented him from making his debut for his new team since joining the Nuggets this past summer.

Some reports emerged early last month about Thomas potentially targeting a return sometime in December, but that obviously did not come to fruition. The Nuggets have yet to provide a concrete update on the 29-year-old's status, so it is still unclear when Thomas will be able to make his Nuggets debut.

For his part, Wade had a so-so night against Denver. He scored only 10 points (3-of-7 shooting and 3-of-6 from the charity stripe), and chipped in one 3-pointer, three rebounds, six assists, two steals, one block, and two turnovers in 29 minutes of action.

Wade's efforts, however, came in a losing effort, as the visiting team came away with 103-99 victory behind Nikola Jokic's monster night. The Nuggets big man dropped a 29-point, 11-rebound, 10-assist triple-double to lead his team to the tightly contested win.

Wade's farewell tour continues on Thursday, in another home game against the Boston Celtics.
