With the addition of key pieces to their roster for this coming season, fans of the Charlotte Hornets have a lot of reason to believe that they can make some serious noise next year. One of those players they brought in is All-Star center Dwight Howard, who they think excellently fills their need for a strong inside presence.

The 31-year-old made a media appearance recently to give the Charlotte faithful a glimpse of the future, as he donned the Hornets colors for the first time. He proudly wore the new uniforms, and gamely posed in front of photographers.

Dwight Howard landed with the team after they traded for him from the Atlanta Hawks in exchange for the 31st overall pick of last June's draft, along with Miles Plumlee and Marco Belinelli. Charlotte is now his fifth NBA team.

The three-time Defensive Player of the Year winner may have a lot of doubters, but he is definitely looking to shut them all down and prove that there's still a lot of game left in him. If he'll be able to successfully do that, the Hornets could turn out as a darkhorse in the East.
