Charlotte Hornets rookie LaMelo Ball will certainly have some fun at the expense of his older brother, Lonzo Ball, after draining a step-back 3-pointer over his face on Friday.

In the closing seconds of the third period of the tightly contested match between the New Orleans Pelicans and Hornets at the Smoothie King Center, LaMelo sized up his sibling and tried to shake off his D with a series of crossovers.

He got the space he needed after executing a nifty step-back and launched an off-balance 3-pointer. The elder Ball managed to recover to contest the shot but to no avail. Melo drilled the long bomb to cap  off the Hornets' 35-point third quarter.

Here's the highlight, which LaMelo would likely replay over and over again:

Despite the two team's struggles at the early part of the season, the Hornets-Pelicans match was a highly anticipated affair due to the clash between the Ball siblings. Lonzo Ball and LaMelo Ball came out swinging from the start, exchanging tough buckets to start the game. The pair, however, did not guard one another for most of the first half. Melo probably savored that rare moment and relished the opportunity to get one over his brother's defense.

Apart from Lonzo and LaMelo, LaVar Ball has another son, LiAngelo Ball, who recently signed a G-League deal to play in the bubble in Walt Disney World.
