Marvel Studios expanded their cinematic universe with the release of the movie entitled “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.” In one of the film's promotions, LaMelo Ball, Lonzo Ball, and LiAngelo Ball can be seen talking about their father as part of a funny skit.

Sorry, LaVar.

Lonzo: “No matter what I do, it's not good enough for my father. He's constantly pushing me, controlling me. Am I wrong?”

Melo: “Yeah, I feel you.”

Gelo: “It's like you're reading my mind.”

Just like LaMelo, Lonzo, and LiAngelo's hilarious portrayal of their father, the movie's main character also has daddy issues of his own. It just so happened that Shang-Chi's beef with his dad holds a slew of significantly larger implications.

The movie protagonist's old man, Xu Wenwu, is the main villain in the film. Powered by ten mythical rings, the Marvel Cinematic Universe's version of the Mandarin formed a heinous group called the “Ten Rings.”

When it comes to LaMelo, Lonzo, and LiAngelo Ball's father in LaVar, he entered the consciousness of NBA fans when Lonzo was getting ready for the NBA Draft in 2017. The proud father of three didn't hold back each time a mic was in front of him with the spotlight turned on.

LaVar stepped away from the limelight after Lonzo was traded by the Los Angeles Lakers. When LaMelo was drafted by the Charlotte Horners in 2020, LaVar was seen more often but he's been a shadow of his old self in terms of braggadocio.

That's a good thing, right?
