Whenever the All-Stars reserves are revealed each year, it has been a normal occurrence for many to react negatively to it. A lot of fans even come up with their own “All-Snub” lists filled with names of players whom they think are more deserving to earn spots in the annual showcase. This season, though, the “snubs” may not only be in the All-Star Game.

The three-point shooting contest features some of the best shooters in the league today, specifically from beyond the arc. With Charlotte Hornets forward Marvin Williams leading the league this season in 3-point percentage, he seems to be an obvious candidate to participate in the  All-Star shooting event. That has not been the case though as he has yet to receive an invite for the competition despite making it known that he is very much willing to join, according to Rick Bonnell of the Charlotte Observer.

The 31-year-old North Carolina product is quietly having one of his better seasons as a pro. He is averaging 9.6 points, including 45.2 percent from beyond the arc, to go along with 4.6 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 25.9 minutes. He has also remained healthy, appearing in 45 games for the Hornets so far this year.

It remains to be seen if Williams will ultimately receive an invite or not. One thing that’s certain though is that many believe he is worthy of being chosen for it, not only for his 3-point shooting percentage, but also to represent Charlotte, which does not have an All-Star this season as well.
