The Charlotte Hornets honored their former star Kemba Walker with a tribute video prior to their matchup with the Boston Celtics.

While the Hornets never managed to make it out of the first round during the Walker era, it wasn't because of any lack of individual contributions from him. The organization just never managed to surround him with the necessary talent to have an effective enough team.

The honor is well deserved for Walker considering how he left the Hornets as their all-time leading scorer and was a three-time NBA All-Star. The eight seasons that he spent in Charlotte were something that fans will remember for a very long time.

Now with the Celtics, Walker has the necessary pieces to not only make it to the first round of the playoffs but to potentially go further. The next chapter of his career should feature more winning than the last at the very least.
