Shortly after holding the BIG3 Player Draft, co-founder Ice Cube delved into the NBA's Most Valuable Player conversation.

Just like his single It Was A Good Day once said “Last week f***ed around and got a triple-double,” Ice Cube is picking the guy who did that a record 42 times this season — Russell Westbrook.

“Yeah, I think you can't deny his season. His season was historic, so I think he should be MVP,” Ice Cube told For The Win's Alysha Tsuji before throwing in some self-propaganda “I'm really worried about the MVP of the BIG3 right now.”

“Incredible season, just showing what kind of athlete (Westbrook) is to be able to score like that, but also assist like that and rebound. It just shows what kind of all-around basketball player he is, so I'm just happy to be alive to see one of the greatest play,” Ice Cube said. “I wasn't really paying attention when Oscar (Robertson) did his thing, but I am now.”

When asked if he has indeed “f***ed around and got a triple-double” in his time as a local basketball player, the L.A. native couldn't help but smile.

“Yeah, yeah.”

How many times?

“One time in It Was A Good Day song I got a triple-double. Nah, nah, I used to do pretty good in three-on-three pickup games.”
