Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Urban Meyer might be in hot water right now, but his quarterback Trevor Lawrence is fully behind him.

Lawrence was asked about the entire situation and made it very clear that it changes nothing between him and Meyer. Via NFL.com:

“He’s still my head coach. I still respect him, regardless of what happens. We’re a team and we’re figuring it out.”

The Jaguars have been in the headlines all week because of Meyer, who went viral after a video surfaced online of him dancing with a woman that wasn’t his wife at a bar. Jacksonville owner Shad Khan spoke out on the situation and said that Meyer will have to “regain our trust” after the incident.

Meyer didn’t travel home on the Jaguars team plane following Thursday’s loss to the Bengals. He cited his reasoning to stay behind and visit with family in Ohio but instead, he was seen at a Cincy bar on the weekend. However, Meyer did say he told the organization “way in advance” that he was staying back following the game.

The Jaguars are already in a bad position at 0-4 and this doesn’t exactly help his case for keeping the job. It will be interesting to see what happens with this situation. At least Lawrence has his back, though.
