The Minnesota Vikings took a chance on a former TCU wide receiver who was a free agent and it did not work out. They could be in line for another in the draft. The Vikings added Josh Doctson ad he was released just a few weeks later. In the 2020 NFL Draft, Minnesota could be linked to current TCU standout Jalen Reagor.

Reagor currently leads TCU with 43 catches for 611 yards and five touchdowns. He is averaging 14.2 yards per reception this season. His speed is near the best of any wide receiver prospect in the draft. There are receivers such as Jerry Jeudy, Tee Higgins, and CeeDee Lamb who could be selected in the top-10 of the draft. For players like Reagor, they have a chance to get scooped up by good teams in later rounds.

Vikings in the Market for a Receiver?

Adam Thielen, Stefon Diggs

The Vikings might have the best duo of wide receivers in the league. Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs are both No. 1 wide receivers playing in the same offense. Minnesota has locked up both players long term. Kirk Cousins is in his second year of a massive three-year contract and he could be in Minnesota longer than that. Outside of Diggs and Thielen, the Vikings receiving core is extremely weak.

Thielen has battled injuries all season. Because of this, Dalvin Cook is their second-leading receiver in addition to being one of the best runners in the league. Kyle Rudolph is an aging tight end and Bisi Johnson is not a reliable option. There is a reason they took a flier on Doctson before they were forced to let go of the former first-round bust. The Vikings could use a speedster in the slot and Reagor fits that description to a tee.

Drake Maye of J.J. McCarthy could be the selection at quarterback for the Vikings

Reagor has the ability to play in the slot or on the outside. Thielen has a similar skillset and the Vikings have used him all over different formations. Reagor would give the Vikings much-needed depth at the position and it would add another young player. Reagor is an attractive option for the Vikings because they will not have to use a first-round pick on him.

The Vikings could use some more work on their offensive line. This is where their first-round selection might go. If it does, Reagor could be their second-round guy. He would be a receiver who can come in and make an impact immediately using his speed and athleticism. This would give Cousins another weapon and give the Vikings an even more lethal offense.
