Memphis Tigers star center and likely top five NBA Draft pick James Wiseman has officially been ruled ineligible to play by the university. He has been ruled ineligible for 12 games and has to pay back the $11,500 (to a charity of his choice) that coach Penny Hardaway gave to his parents for relocation purposes.

This means that Wiseman will return in January to play against South Florida.

Until then, Memphis will play the likes of Tennessee (in Knoxville), Ole Miss (home), Georgia (home) and N.C. State (home) as well as some very beatable cupcakes.

With Wiseman out and this team taking on a slightly different look and being in a bit of a pickle, it will have to learn how to play and win without a potential top NBA Draft pick. Here's how they might look trying to replace the 19.7 points and 10.7 rebounds a game that Wiseman was producing.

While it initially seems like a daunting task to replace Wiseman, coach Hardaway has fortunately done an excellent job recruiting and will have plenty of players able to step up and contribute more than they have been so far this season. This mostly pertains to forwards D.J. Jeffries and Precious Achiuwa.

While both are averaging 12 points a game or better, this is their chance to increase their offensive load and become the top tier NBA prospects people expect them to be this season.

This team has to use its national platform when it plays those SEC teams and prove that they belong. Achiuwa, Jeffries, Lester Quinones and Boogie Ellis will get multiple chances to prove that they don't necessarily need Wiseman to be a good team.

Granted, they can't reach their full potential without him, but they'll still win enough games to get a high seed come March and make their run. They'll have their experience without Wiseman and should still be a high-flying offensive machine for stretches when he isn't in the game.
