Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert threw down a ferocious jam at the teeth of the Memphis Grizzlies' defense on Wednesday. In the second half of the two teams' clash at FedEx Forum, the 7-foot-1 pivot from France partnered with swingman Joe Ingles for a beautiful pick-and-roll play.

Gobert rolled perfectly to the cup and finished with an emphatic poster slam over unsuspecting Grizzlies center Jonas Valanciunas, who couldn't do anything but take it on the chin.

But while it was clearly an impressive play by the towering Gobert, it was met with a rather unenthusiastic reaction from the Jazz announcers (via Bleacher Report).

To be fair, the Jazz announcers are probably used to seeing Gobert dunk on a regular basis, making it just another day at the office for them. Then again, we've heard Charlotte Hornets commentator Eric Collins get hyped even for the simplest plays made by his team, so maybe the Jazz broadcast squad should take notes.

Rudy Gobert, meanwhile, is probably used to getting the cold treatment all season long, despite his terrific performance for the league-leading Jazz. After all, pundits are still questioning his legitimacy as one of the best centers in today's game, despite norming dominant numbers of 14.7 points, 13.4 rebounds, and 3.0 blocks in 46 games.
