There has been a lot of talk about Todd Bowles being on the chopping block after this season for the New York Jets, but Rex Ryan is wondering why there isn't talk about other people inside the organization also being on that same block.

On ESPN's Get Up on Monday morning Ryan said that his former team said changes need to be made after suffering one of the most humiliating defeats in team history.

“Oh, ‘Todd Bowles is gonna get fired.’ You’re damn right he’s gonna get fired. So is everybody else,” Ryan said via The New York Post. “I love the fact the GM is sitting back talking about the future. That’s all he talks about — the future. What future do you have? Do you honestly think you have?

Jets general manager Mike Maccagnan has not been talked about a guy that might get fired, but Ryan is confused why. Ryan said that he has had the money to spend and the chances to turn around the franchise, but he hasn't gotten it done during his time with the team, and it's time they move on.

“I look at it this way: The Johnsons [owner Woody and his brother in charge, Christopher] are unbelievable people, and they’re gonna give you the benefit of the doubt,” said Ryan. “Todd Bowles is not gonna get fired. Now he’s gonna coach the rest of the season. Why? That’s the appropriate way to do things. But we all know he’s gone. Todd knows he’s gone, but so is the GM. They’ve already given you a chance. You had all the money and all that type of stuff. Didn’t we have that like four years ago when Todd took over, when they saved all the money when I was there?”

If the Jets do make a change this offseason at coach and maybe even in the front office they need to make sure they get a quarterback who can develop Sam Darnold into the quarterback they hoped he can be when they took him in the first round.
