It hasn't been an ideal start for Zach Wilson in his rookie year with the New York Jets. There have been some glimpses of the greatness that made him the No. 2 overall pick but they have been few and far between.

Jets head coach Robert Saleh, per the team's website, isn't worried. In fact, he's comparing Wilson's start to his career to that of Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen.

“It’s not easy being a rookie quarterback, never has been, never will be,” Saleh said. “Josh Allen the first five games of his rookie year, the numbers were the same as what our guy is going through. I know it can be frustrating sometimes, but it’s going to start clicking. It’s a rollercoaster ride and you have to take the good with the good, and the bad with the bad.”

Through five games this season, Wilson has just four touchdowns compared to nine interceptions for the Jets. The protection up front hasn't been great at times but Wilson hasn't helped matters for New York either.

New York is coming off a loss in London to the Atlanta Falcons where they found a groove on offense late, but it was already too late for the Jets.

Things won't be getting easier as a date with the New England Patriots awaits the Jets in Week 6. While the Pats are just 2-3, one of those wins came against the Jets where they made life miserable for Wilson back in Week 2. Saleh isn't worried yet, and still has all the faith in the world in his rookie quarterback.
