The Boston Celtics are often lauded for their tremendous job during the offseason and the season proper alike thanks to the wonderful work that general manager Danny Ainge has done for the organization.

One person on Ainge's staff that deserves just as much recognition is head coach Brad Stevens, who has taken an upstart Celtics team to three playoff appearances in just four years in Boston, including last year's lone Eastern Conference Finals appearance.

Former Celtics guard Jordan Crawford, who played under Stevens in his first and only season in Boston, held the 40-year-old coach in high regard in a recent interview via the Boston Herald:

“Brad Stevens is a good basketball coach. He has a great mind in general that allows him to be a better basketball coach.”

This wasn't the first time that the Xavier product had given praise to Stevens. A couple of years back, Crawford was once asked by a Twitter follower on who his favorite coach was and the answer was simple:

Stevens has a reputation of not only being a great basketball coach, but one who also has a fantastic relationship with all of his players. The C's wouldn't be in the lofty position they're in now, despite their roster's young core, if not for the masterful guidance of the former Clair Bee Coach of the Year awardee, giving Boston fans yet another reason to be optimistic about the team's long-term stability.
