One of the draft prospects at the center of a lot of talks lately is Josh Jackson, especially after finding out that the Boston Celtics have agreed to trade the No. 1 pick this year to the Philadelphia 76ers. The C’s apparently do not think highly of Markelle Fultz and feel that he is not a game-changer, which made their decision to move down the lottery an easier one to make.

Despite his impressive numbers in his lone season with the Washington Huskies, Fultz was unable to lead his team to a winning campaign and only won a total of nine games. Jackson took to his Twitter account recently to give his thoughts on the blockbuster deal and it is also believed he took a jab at the 6-foot-4 point guard for his team’s losing record.

Should he indeed have taken a shot at him, it will be very interesting to see how the two will compete against each other next season. It also has the potential to start a rivalry as they will both prove that they are worthy of being selected high in the Draft and that they belong in the NBA.

There is no doubt that the two players are very talented, but the situation they’ll be in could be the difference on how successful they’ll be in their first season as professionals. Fultz will have the opportunity to run the offense for a young and promising Sixers team, who could be one of the league’s team’s of the future. Should Jackson end up in Bean Town, he will join a winning team that is geared to once again make a deep run in next year’s playoffs and could contend for a title.

It may still be unclear at this point who Jackson was referring to in his tweet, but one thing certain at this point is winning is equally as valuable to him as being good individually.
