Sacramento Kings shooting guard Buddy Hield was pumped after Sacramento defeated the Boston Celtics on Sunday at home, so much so that he kicked the ball into the stands.

That action by Hield is going to cost him $25,000, as the league announced on Monday that the Kings guard will be fined.

The Kings handed the Celtics just their second loss of the season. Hield was terrific in the win, finishing with 35 points, six rebounds and two assists.

Without point guard De'Aaron Fox, who is out with an ankle injury, Hield is going to have to become the No. 1 scoring option for Sacramento. It appears that Hield is going to enjoy playing that role.

The Kings are 5-7 on the season after defeating the Celtics. Hield, who signed a rookie-scale extension with Sacramento, is averaging 19.9 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.7 assists on the season while shooting 43.1 percent from the field, 40.5 percent from beyond the arc and 88.9 percent from the free-throw line.

Sacramento hasn't made the playoffs since 2006. Hield and Fox are eager to be the two youngsters who lead the Kings back to the postseason.

Wins like Sunday's over Boston show just how talented Sacramento is. Once Fox gets back, the Kings have a good chance of securing a lower seed playoff spot in the West.
