Sacramento Kings starting point guard De’Aaron Fox won't play against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Thursday.

The Kings say Fox has lower abdominal tightness:

The Kings are 24-33 on the season. They are in 11th place in the rugged Western Conference standings.

Fox has appeared in 39 games for the Kings this season. The lefty is averaging 19.9 points, 4.1 rebounds and 6.9 assists while shooting 47.1 percent from the field, 31.5 percent from beyond the arc and 66.9 percent from the free-throw line.

The Kings are 15-24 with Fox in the lineup. The 22-year-old has seven double-doubles on the season.

Sacramento hasn't been to the postseason since 2006. For the Kings to eventually snap their playoff drought, Fox, Buddy Hield, Marvin Bagley III, Harrison Barnes and Bogdan Bogdanovic will have to be the guys who get it done.

Fox has career averages of 15.6 points, 3.5 rebounds and 6.1 assists with the Kings. Sacramento will clearly be cautious with its franchise point guard moving forward since back injuries aren't to be taken lightly.
