One of the most unforgettable playoff series in NBA history is the 2002 Western Conference Finals. It was a matchup between two of the best teams in the league that time, the Los Angeles Lakers and Sacramento Kings, and it lived up to expectations being a hotly-contested matchup which reached Game 7.

The Purple and Gold, who were led by Shaquille O'Neal and Kobe Bryant, ultimately won the series and advanced to the NBA Finals, winning their third consecutive championship.

While it was a hard-fought victory for the Lakers, it was not free from any controversy. Until this day, many are continuing to debate if the referees called the game fairly, with a lot of questionable calls going the way of the Lakers.

Then-Kings star Chris Webber certainly has not forgotten about that epic game and reminded O'Neal about it during the recent TNT Players Only broadcast.

It may be something the two can now share a laugh about, but clearly, Webber still knows how bitter the taste of defeat was from that night. It's something that will continue to be debated about, with the opinion of many divided on who they think should have really won and advanced to the Finals to face the New Jersey Nets, who were led by Jason Kidd.

As it turned out, it was the last championship of the Shaq-Kobe era in the early 2000s, as they were not able to defend their title the following year. O'Neal was then traded to the Miami Heat in 2004 and won another title with them two seasons after. Webber, on the other hand, went on to play until 2008 before deciding to hang his sneakers for good without winning a title in his career.
