Freshly dubbed New York Knicks head coach David Fizdale is tasked to come up with something special with the interesting roster that they have right now.

Featuring experienced names in Courtney Lee, Enes Kanter, Kyle O'Quinn, and Tim Hardaway Jr, plus a young collection of talent in Kevin Knox, Emmanuel Mudiay, Frank Ntilikina, and Mitchell Robinson, Fizdale is definitely going to have his hands full this upcoming season with no definite timeline to return for franchise cornerstone Kristaps Porzingis.

To ease the headache of thinking who would be rightfully starting for the team, Fizdale may have come up with an interesting plan going into the season.

In a video by theKnicksBlog of the SportsNet New York, there is no definite starting unit for the Knicks and everything is up for grabs.

“I think the fairness of it is what creates that competition. You know, knowing you got a fair shot to earn minutes, to earn a starting spot. You can't help but to bring energy to that knowing that you gonna get a chance.”

The method might be weird to some seeing how the difference in talent is obvious for certain players, Fizdale might be on to something here, but the method might not exactly fly with the more tenured players. Nonetheless, it gives us a chance to see who will be the rightful starters for the Knicks regardless of talent.

We may assume who the starters will be this upcoming season, but we should still keep our eyes on the Knicks for the surprises they have in store.
