New York Knicks power forward Bobby Portis was ejected in a game against the Los Angeles Lakers after being assessed a flagrant two foul. The play in question came when Lakers guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope was going up for a fastbreak layup.

Behind him, Portis seemingly tried to swipe at the ball in Caldwell-Pope's hands. Instead, Portis would hit Caldwell-Pope squarely on the head, knocking off his headband and sending him to the floor. After a review from the referees, Portis was given the flagrant foul.

After three and a half years with the Chicago Bulls and half a year with the Washington Wizards, the Knicks signed Bobby Portis to a two-year $31 million contract in July. The 24-year-old big man is averaging 10.1 points and 5.7 rebounds per game coming off the bench for the team in all but two games this season.

Technical fouls aren't anything new for the former first-round selection. Portis has already racked up five such fouls this year which ranks in the top 10 in the NBA.
