Boston Celtics restricted free agent Terry Rozier says he can see himself playing for the New York Knicks next season.

As a restricted free agent, Rozier can sign an offer sheet with another team and then the Celtics would have 48 hours to match the offer or let Rozier walk:

The Knicks have been linked to Rozier's teammate on the Celtics, Kyrie Irving. There's probably no way Rozier would want to join the Knicks if Irving goes there.

Rozier averaged 9.0 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game this season for the Celtics while shooting 38.7 percent from the field, 35.3 percent from beyond the arc and 78.5 percent from the free-throw line. If the Knicks don't get Irving or Murray State's Ja Morant in the 2019 NBA Draft, they could pursue Rozier in free agency since they need a starting-caliber point guard on the roster.

Rozier showed in the 2018 playoffs he's capable of being a starting guard in the NBA. He averaged 16.5 points, 5.3 rebounds and 5.7 assists while shooting 40.6 percent from the floor and 34.7 percent from the 3-point line. The Knicks are looking to sign Irving and Kevin Durant this summer, but Rozier and some other low-end free agents could be their Plan B if Irving and Durant don't come to The Big Apple.
