It has become commonplace for NBA players to react to their video game ratings as soon as they come out. Usually, the reactions are ones of disbelief. Sometimes, they think the rating is fair. New York Knicks center Enes Kanter had a mixture of the two when his NBA 2K and NBA Live ratings were released.

Kanter received a 79 in NBA 2k, the more popular and well known of the two. His NBA Live rating was four points higher at 83. Obviously, Kanter preferred the Live rating and gave it a shoutout via Twitter.

Kanter's rating seems to be pretty fair, as the average 2k players are rated between 75-80, and Kanter has been a slightly above average player in his last few seasons.

Kanter averaged 14.1 points and 11 rebounds for the Knicks last season in 71 games, all of which he started. He is known as a hard-nosed bruiser who isn't afraid to do the dirty work on the boards and defend his teammates.

The Knicks have assembled an interesting roster for the 2018-19 season, highlighted by Kristaps Porzingis, when he returns from injury, and lottery pick Kevin Knox. While they are not expected to seriously contend or even make the playoffs this season, it's certainly possible for them to sneak a seventh or eighth seed in a weak Eastern Conference.

If they want any chance of that, Kanter will have to take on an even larger role than last season. Maybe he can get a further bump in his NBA Live or 2K ratings.
