Of all the quotes, excerpts, and moments that were said and heard throughout NBA media day, arguably the most meme-worthy (aside from Kawhi Leonard's laugh) may have come from Enes Kanter of the New York Knicks.

The Knicks center was asked about his team's chances of making the playoffs, and here is what he had to say:

That is probably not the most professional way to sound off one's feelings, and it's most certainly not the image we want to see. But I guess we'll have to take it from a guy like Kanter.

The 6-foot-11 center was all smiles during media day, and his optimism showed that he is definitely excited for the start of a fresh NBA season.

He sure does look like he loves being a Knick, after expressing his desire to stay with the franchise for the rest of his career.

The eight-year veteran out of Turkey had a career year last season, averaging 14.1 points, 11.0 rebounds, and 1.5 assists in 71 games in his first year with the Knicks. He also put up the most efficient shooting season in his career by making 59.2 percent of his field goals, and converting 84.8 percent of his freebies at the stripe.

In terms of the Knicks' playoff chances, they are probably on the outside looking in, though there is still a chance considering the many wildcard teams in the Eastern Conference.

Franchise superstar Kristaps Porzingis is still recovering and rehabbing his left knee after tearing his ACL back in February, and does not look to be ready by the start of their campaign. Furthermore, there are reports that he may even miss the entirety of the 2018-19  season, which all the more increases their chances to get back to the lottery in next year's draft.

Should this be the case, they will have to throw their 19-year old rookie Kevin Knox, who had a strong showing in the summer league, into the fire early.
