Enes Kanter of the New York Knicks has once again taken a shot at former Oklahoma City Thunder teammate Kevin Durant. The 6-foot-11 big man recently sat down with Royce Young of ESPN and shared why he thinks the Golden State Warriors star will never get the respect that he demands.

Kanter started off by admitting there was absolutely some beef with Durant, especially when the latter first faced off against the Oklahoma City Thunder after jumping ship to join the Warriors.

“With Durant, of course there was a beef with [Russell] Westbrook when he came back [to Oklahoma City],” he confessed.

However, Kanter went on to say that he understands Durant's rationale, and he also recognized his former teammate's accomplishments since turning his back on the Thunder.

“In the end I understand it's a business” added Kanter. “This dude went [to Golden State], and in two years he made two All-Stars, two Finals MVPs and two championships.”

Despite this, Kanter believes that the issue is not with the what or the why, but rather with the how.

“I think our problem with [leaving] the Thunder was how he did it,” he claimed. “I don't think he'll ever get the respect he wants because of how he did it.”

It is no secret that Durant's divorce with OKC was not the most amicable. Although things that transpired two years ago may have slowly been forgotten, Kanter believes that they will never be forgiven.
