After Quentin Grimes' standout performance in the Summer League, several fans now want to see him play more meaningful games for the New York Knicks in 2022-23. However, one fan suggested a drastic measure that even Evan Fournier couldn't help but react.

Fournier is expected to remain as a starter for the Knicks, and so if Grimes wants to get more minutes and even get the starting job, he has to outshine the Frenchman. Nonetheless, a supporter suggested that it might be better for the youngster to injure the veteran during practice.

Upon seeing the suggestion, Fournier responded and shared his shock and amusement. After all, some people really go to lengths because of their fandom.

It's understandable where Knicks fans are coming from. They have a plethora of talent at their disposal, with the likes of Obi Toppin, Immanuel Quickley, Jericho Sims and Quentin Grimes all just waiting for an opportunity to show what they can do. However with coach Tom Thibodeau not focusing on player development, it's hard for the youngsters to break through and gain significant experience.

Regardless of the situation, though, it's definitely not a good thing to wish someone gets injured–let alone suggest for a player to injure another. Fortunately, Evan Fournier took the comment in stride and laughed it off.

Here's to hoping that Grimes and the other Knicks youngsters get more playing time in 2022-23 and show everyone that the have what it takes to thrive in the NBA, without injuring another Knicks teammate that is.
