Immanuel Quickley got hot for the New York Knicks in the first quarter of Thursday's matchup against the Sacramento Kings. The rookie scored 10 points off the bench in the first period alone, which includes this outstanding four-point play at the end of the quarter.

Quickley beat the buzzer with this triple over Kings vet Cory Joseph (h/t NBA on ESPN on Twitter):

Quickley has been on a cold stretch of late, shooting just 21.2 percent from the field over his last four games. In his last two appearances for New York, the 6-foot-3 point guard managed just eight points combined. Needless to say, that cold streak officially ended on Thursday night.

Quickley has been impressive for the Knicks in his debut campaign. He hasn't been very consistent, but he's shown flashes of brilliance throughout the campaign.  The 21-year-old dropped a career-high 31 points on the Portland Trail Blazers back in January, and he's had three 20+ point games since then.

Quickley appears to be well on his way to another offensive explosion on Thursday, with the rook already with 18 points at the half. At this point, it seems safe to say that the Knicks found themselves quite a gem in Quickley and that he could quickly establish himself as a key part of this team's young core.
