Don't look now but the New York Knicks have won three of their last four games. The hot streak has been enough for Marcus Morris to put playoff hopes into the minds of ‘Bockers fans.

“We’re trending in the right direction. I'm not going to go out and say we're going to make the playoffs, but s—, that's what we're fighting towards,” Morris said. “That’s the goal. We’re definitely trying hard. Hopefully, we do make it,” Morris said, per Michael Scotto of Bleacher Report.

The team's most recent win, a 143-120 blowout victory against the Atlanta Hawks, was their highest-scoring regulation game in 39 years. The Knicks went on a 21-0 run early in the second quarter and didn't look back, coasting to victory despite 42 points and eight assists from Hawks point guard Trae Young.

For the Knicks, Morris, Julius Randle and rookie RJ Barrett combined for 66 points while second-year center Mitchell Robinson chipped in 22 points and 13 rebounds off the bench.

As for Morris, the 30-year-old's 18.7 points per game is a career high and the highest mark on the Knicks. In his first season with the team, the forward has been a consistent scorer and veteran presence for the young squad.

Despite recent victories, the Knicks are still a putrid 7-21 on the season and sit at 13th place in the Eastern Conference. New York is 5.5 games behind the Orlando Magic in the eighth seed. If the team continues to heat up and end up making the playoffs, it would be the first postseason appearance for the franchise since the 2012-13 season.
