Knicks fans go nuts outside Madison Square Garden after win

Knicks

New York Knicks die-hards were going absolutely bonkers outside Madison Square Garden after their beloved Knickerbockers notched their 17th win on the season on Saturday night over the Indiana Pacers. With the 117-114 win, they moved to an even .500 record for the first time in what must feel like an eternity for this loyal fanbase.

Watch the Knicks faithful turning it up like they just won the world championship.

You gotta love to see Knicks fans finally feeling good about their team. Nevertheless, this still kind of feels depressing to watch, doesn’t it?

These Knicks fans are celebrating as if New York just won the Larry O. But in reality, they just notched a .500 record and moved into a tie for the no. 4 spot place in the Eastern Conference standings with more than half a season of basketball left to be played.

Now, that wasn’t meant to kill the joy that these Knicks fans are experiencing right now. They do have every right to celebrate, considering their squad has spent the majority of two decades in mediocrity.

It’s hard to discredit anything the Knicks have done this season either. As NBA fans have grown accustomed to it, nobody expected New York to be in the mix for the playoffs. Yet, here they stand as one of the more compelling Cinderella stories of the 2020-21 season.

Head coach Tom Thibodeau has come in and established a hard-nosed culture within the Knicks. Julius Randle has emerged as an All-Star caliber player this season and has done a magnificent job in being the leader of this young squad.

As an NBA fan, it’s always great to see Knicks basketball finally back on the map after years of ineptitude. Hopefully, New York can sustain this level of play until the end of the season so we can see playoff basketball once again rocking at The Garden.
