The NBA's resident troll is at it again. New York Knicks big man Enes Kanter has taken another victim, and this time around, it's renowned NBA insider Shams Charania.
In a recent video posted on his Twitter account, Kanter used the basketball reporter to send a message. The 6-foot-11 center warned that this is what happens when people get ahead of him. He then proceeded to exploit Charania's non-existent defense.
For some context, there was some “beef” between Kanter and Charania when the latter first reported the former's decision to stay with the Knicks two months ago. Kanter called out Charania for breaking the news even before he had made up his mind.
Charania is one of the most credible sources in the NBA today. The new star of The Athletic is one of a select few able to get their hands on the news before everybody else. Understandably, some players may feel a bit aggrieved at times whenever Shams breaks reports prior to their official release.
Kanter obviously felt that he had a grudge to settle with the reporter, as he patiently waited for over two months before finally getting his on-court revenge. For his part, Charania seemed uninterested and just wanted to get the video over and done with.
As it turns out, the clip was created purely for the sake of entertainment. As the two proved in a latter post, there was absolutely no bad blood between them.
That was quite a pinpoint dime from Shams. Perhaps the Knicks should consider getting him on board to help with all their problems. At the very least, they could use him as a source for a ton of insider information.
