The New York Knicks were heavily criticized in recent days due to a peculiar prize for a fan knocking down a half-court shot.

Normally in these circumstances, the lucky fan wins a cash prize; however, the Knicks — for whatever reason — decided to award the fan with $1,000 worth of lottery scratchers.

On Tuesday, the fan, Anthony Peterson, revealed that he won $570 from the original $1,000 total in scratchers, according to SportsNation.

Peterson, wearing a white shirt with the Knicks' logo on his chest, dribbled the rock a few times before looking up at the hoop at mid-court and throwing up a Hail Mary — which perfectly fell through the far-away hoop. Despite the initial excitement dying down due to the prize reveal, Peterson still said that he feels “blessed” by the made shot and $570.

Peterson referenced that another recent made half-court shot at a game in Los Angeles yielded a $100,000 prize for the winner, a stark contrast to the Knicks fan's winnings.
