The New York Knicks have exciting young talent in Dennis Smith Jr. and Kevin Knox. However, the two isn't really the most promising among all the team's young players. That credit goes to Mitchell Robinson who continues to prove that he is the biggest steal of the 2018 NBA draft.

If you aren't a New York fan or league pass die-hard, there's a good chance you're unfamiliar with Robinson. Given the frequency with which the rookie big man makes jaw-dropping plays like this, though, it seems only a matter of time and development until he becomes a household name.

Wow.

The 20-year-old has quietly put together one of the most prolific shot-blocking campaigns in NBA history this season. Robinson's ridiculous 10.8 block percentage doesn't just lead the league by a considerable margin, but it is the highest rate of blocked shots for any player since Manute Bol did it in 1988-89, per Basketball Reference.

No other player in league history has ever managed a block percentage of more than 10.0 over a full season while playing regular minutes.

Mitchell Robinson, who didn't play college basketball while enrolled at Western Kentucky last season, has much to learn before developing into a consistent impact player. However, once he gains more experience and a better understanding of the NBA game, Robinson seems poised to be blocking shots all over the floor for years to come.
