Davis Bertans of the San Antonio Spurs almost formed part of a poster by Dennis Smith Jr. of the New York Knicks.

Peep the clip below posted by NBA TV. Smith Jr. had bad intentions once he caught sight of a free lane to the basket. However, he may have been a little too excited which led to a botched dunk.

Imagine what would've happened if Smith Jr. finished the play. Apart from being part of his personal highlight reel, the dunk would've been considered one of the best slams of the year. The way Smith Jr. cocked back his arm is a thing of beauty in itself. Bertans, meanwhile, would be the receiving end of memes and jokes from NBA fans.

It's easy to forget that Smith Jr. stands 6-foot-3. But there are tons of basketball players are taller than him but can't even dunk the ball to save their lives. He's one of the most athletic guards out there and the clip below emphasized this fact. Though he missed the dunk, we all know that the third-year man is very capable of slamming it down when given the opportunity. Keep your eyes peeled for another potential Smith Jr. poster.
