Kevin Durant has grown into one of the most versatile defenders in the NBA. With his quickness and athleticism, the Golden State Warriors superstar can smother smaller guards and prevent them from taking advantage on the offensive end.

With his exceptional length, Durant can also cover larger players with ease. Though, defenders do have some lapses in their on-court plays, which allows some players to take advantage. In this specific case, Durant was taken advantage of with an amazing move by the New York Knicks' Trey Burke on Monday night.

The hilarious thing about the whole situation is that Durant actually stopped to acknowledge Burke on a job well done.

This isn't a lucky move for the former lottery pick. According to Ian Begley of ESPN, Burke has tied his recent on-court success to his growing faith.

“I'm living better,” Burke said. “Now, being married [to his longtime girlfriend, De'Monique, over the summer], not being out partying and being more focused and more locked in on my assignment each and every day — which, right now, is a 25-year-old man in basketball. My faith helps me perform at a better level. “I feel like I kind of lost that when I first got to the NBA.”

“I didn't choose to come here. I really in my heart feel like I heard him [God] telling me to come here,” Burke said. “Because I was a free agent and it didn't make sense in the natural eye because you have these opportunities [to play in the NBA] right now. Why wouldn't you go to OKC? But it makes sense because I know what type of platform comes with being a New York Knick. … This is the biggest market in the world.”

Burke has scored 70 points in his last three games and is becoming an integral part of the New York Knicks rotation. Hopefully, Burke can use that play as motivation for the Knicks upcoming games.
